The tormenti pila gigas bruchus, or giant cannon ball bug is a newly discovered species of insect that can only be found in the various mountain ranges of Arizona and New Mexico. The cannon ball bug is the largest known insect on the planet ranging in size from a large dog to a male water buffalo, approximately, 129–133 cm (51–52 in) in height. This extraordinary insect was named by the only surviving member of a field expedition conducted to investigate strange tales of giant bugs living in the Organ Mountains of New Mexico. Entomologist, Simon Rainer was believed to be in the throws of hysteria when he announced his finding that night on national television.
These insects are enormous! The size of a cow! But, but, it's extremely hard to spot one due to their impeccable camouflage. We didn't see them until they were already on us. Perfect predators! There were only two, but they killed the eight members of my crew. They only ate Ryan, Sue, Greg, and Matthew...Very aggressive! Extremely territorial! They just flew out of the rock like cannons! They're, they're giant cannon ball bugs!
